 Equilibria Massage and Bodywork was created in January of 2003 when owner, Jen Bode, decided to expand her part-time solo massage practice into a larger business. She wanted to create more of a presence by offering expanded business hours and a wider array of massage services, so she hired additional therapists and is now open 7 days a week. She also began offering couples massage, which was quickly gaining in popularity.
Soon it became quite obvious that the business was outgrowing its small one-room massage studio so the search began for a larger space in the same neighborhood. In July of 2005, Equilibria moved into a larger space just one block north. Jen welcomed two more massage therapists and an aesthetician to the group and Equilibria Massage and Skin Care was born.
Equilibria is conveniently located in the heart of northwest Portland on the corner of NW 23rd Avenue and Raleigh. The massage studio is located on the second floor of a beautiful and charming 100-year-old Portland house. The space is a peaceful sanctuary where clients can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and treat themselves to some much-needed relaxation and pampering. Equilibria offers a wide variety of massage services for both individuals and couples, body treatments, facials and waxing and is open 7 days a week with day and evening hours.
