License #13322
Nicole LaTessa has been practicing massage therapy since 2002. She is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, licensed in Oregon and Hawaii. She is also a Certified Aquatic Therapist. Nicole attended The Evergreen State College and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Ecology and Agriculture. She was drawn to the massage field as a hobby and soon became so fascinated with the intricacies of the human body and the health benefits of massage that she decided to pursue massage licensure. As a professional, she has practiced in a wide range of settings, from clinical massage to relaxation massage at luxury resorts. She has also worked as a massage instructor in area colleges.
Nicole moved to Portland in July of 2006 from Hawaii, where she received the majority of her massage training. Her work is greatly influenced by traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, which incorporates the use of elbows and forearms in long broad strokes. She brings to the massage table a variety of techniques and styles that precisely work to relieve stress and ease pain. She also specializes in headache relief and welcomes questions from her clients about self-care and pain prevention. Her tailored and therapeutic approach provides a beneficial massage that accommodates the individual needs of her clients and helps them achieve improved health, fitness and longevity. Nicole’s calming presence and skilled bodywork leaves her clients feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. She welcomes her clients to bring their own music.
